Climate

Poland lies within a humid continental climate (also known as a transitional climate). Average summer temperatures range between 16°C and 30°C, while winter temperatures range between -10°C and 0°C. The warmest cities in Poland, in terms of average annual air temperature, are Tarnów, Legnica, Wrocław, and Słubice.

Average precipitation is approximately 600 mm per year. Precipitation is unevenly distributed throughout the year, with two-thirds of annual precipitation falling during the summer half-year. Most precipitation falls in July. In Poland (depending on the location), snow appears as early as the end of October and persists until March.
