Medical care

Citizens of other countries using healthcare services in Poland must pay for their medical care. Therefore, it is recommended to obtain travel insurance with an insurance company in their home country. Those eligible for healthcare services during their stay in Poland are entitled to free healthcare services under EU coordination regulations. This is available from healthcare providers who have concluded healthcare service agreements with the National Health Fund. Such individuals should obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) before departure. More about the Card at:
