Fellowship program UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme in Engineering

The UNESCO/Poland Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme in Technical and Engineering Sciences is a program co-sponsored by the Polish Government and UNESCO. The fellowships are offered to scientists from developing countries, primarily from Africa, Asia, and South America. The program is managed by the UNESCO Chair for Science, Technology, and Engineering Education, Krakow, Poland (UNESCO AGH Chair). Its goal is to enable scientists from developing countries to conduct research projects at several faculties of the AGH University of Krakow. The program contributes to the development of international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experience between research institutions in developing countries and the Polish university.

UNESCO/Poland Fellowships begin in the fall semester of the academic year and last six months. Candidate recruitment is conducted by the UNESCO Secretariat in Paris, in collaboration with the national commissions for UNESCO. The organizational costs of the fellowship are covered by the UNESCO budget and by funds from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, through the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The Polish National Commission for UNESCO is a partner in implementing this program.
